Community involvement is absolutely essential to Provident State Bank. We love helping our customers and community, not just financially, but in their daily lives as well. Community involvement is the foundation and cornerstone of any successful community bank, so you can count on the team here at Provident State Bank to help whenever we can!
Pencils For A Purpose
Provident State Bank, your local bank, is proud to have supported Sweet Caroline's Benjamin Cahall's mission of 100 Thousand Pencils for a Purpose. PSB not only donated 1,400 pencils to Ben's cause, but also designated each of their branches as drop-off locations for community members to contribute to Ben's mission. No child should ever go without a pencil.
Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore
Provident State Bank, your local bank, is happy to say that we have paired with the Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore organization. This is a volunteer-driven, Kindergarten -12th grade program which aims to foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship skills, and financial literacy for children in school. This program reaches more than 7,000 students every single year across Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot and Caroline counties. Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides 100% free teaching to the participating schools. PSB can’t wait to continue being a part of this fantastic cause to help local children.
Habitat for Humanity
The staff here at Provident State Bank is always eager to help out our community, which is why we are so happy to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Earlier this year, your friends at PSB volunteered our time to help out Caroline County Habitat for Humanity build a home in Denton. Denton is one of our key locations for Provident State Bank, which just gave us another reason to help out the community. It is always great to make a real difference for our local customers and community members. Team members including Shelly Towers, Danielle Potter, Sarah Hall, Amy Harrison, Melissa Sampson, and Hali Leeson were more than happy to help out with the Caroline County Habitat for Humanity project in Denton.
The goal of Habitat for Humanity is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. This is why our team at Provident State Bank was so thrilled to be teaming up with Habitat for Humanity, because we love bringing people together, especially to improve the community. Whenever we get a chance to help out the people around us, we are more than happy to participate. We cannot wait for the next chance we have to partner up with Habitat for Humanity, and we hope to see you there!
March of Dimes
Another way that Provident State Bank likes to get involved with the community is the March of Dimes program. The goal of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies around the world by preventing and lessening birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Of course your friends at Provident State Bank are eager to help this cause. Year after year, we work hard to raise money and awareness for this fantastic cause. We are always excited to participate in the local March of Dimes and we hope that you can join us in working hard to improve the health of babies around the world.
